Single origin arabica from the Nepali hills, grown by smallholders at altitude and roasted for export. Coffee is a young crop in Nepal, planted on terraces that used to carry millet, and it is grown in the shade of the trees already there rather than on cleared land. Height is what makes it worth drinking. A cherry that ripens slowly in thin, cool air builds more sugar and more acidity, which in the cup reads as sweetness and a clean, bright finish rather than the flat bitterness of a low-grown bean. Organically grown by the farmers who produce it. 100% arabica.
