The round masala dani every Nepali and Indian kitchen runs on. Six removable cups sit inside one airtight container, so haldi, jeera, dhaniya, chilli, methi and whatever else you reach for a dozen times a day live in one place instead of six jars at the back of a cupboard. The lid seals, which is the whole point: ground spice goes dull once air gets at it, and a box that shuts properly keeps a batch of freshly ground masala tasting like it did on the first day. The cups lift out to be refilled or washed, and a small spoon sits inside. Sold empty. The spices in the photograph are there to show what goes in it.
