A string of Tibetan prayer flags in the five colours, each one printed with mantras and the wind horse that carries them. They are not hung to be read. The belief is that the wind takes the prayers off the cloth as it passes, and carries goodwill to everyone it reaches after. Hang them where the wind actually gets at them: a balcony, a porch, a doorway, the roof, a tree in the garden. Tradition puts them high and leaves them there, and it is considered right to let them fade rather than take them down, since a faded flag is one whose prayers have gone out into the world. When you do replace a set, the old one is not thrown away casually. Two lengths: 60 inches and 40 inches, both with the flags strung and ready to hang.
